Greetings on this eve of Mothers' Day Weekend!
I so wish I could be there with all you wonderful fiercely andpinkly peaceful women in D.C.
I was there in D.C. at the first Mothers Day gathering--and that will remain one of the significant memories of my life along with a few other pink times. :) I wish you all one of the most peacefully empowering weekends of your lives! I will be sending you all the pink energy I can spare this weekend as I know so many others who wish they could join you and who will be with you in spirit will be doing.
CODEPINK SL, the virtual and international "local" chapter of CODEPINK invites all those who are pink at heart and have an account for Second Life to come to the CODEPINK Hut on Commonwealth Island http://slurl.com/secondlife/Commonwealth%20Island/28/206/31 Saturday May 9, 2008 between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

You will be able to:
- get freebie CODEPINK SL shirts for your avatar, talk about Physical and Virtual Life Pink Actions
- have have your picture taken holding the Mothers' Day Pledge. We will make a collage of all those who participate.
- participate in a Mothers' Day Event even if you can't travel to D.C. or don't have other Pinkers in your geographic area.
- join our virtual chapter to extend our peacemaking efforts and the campaign you are most passionate about to the worldwide reach made possible through virtual worlds and just meet with like-minded women (and a few enlightened men.)
A special request for those of you in D.C.
Please send your digital images of the real life event (upload 'em from a free wi-fi zone or coffeeshop with wi-fi and send them) to anaherzog (at) mac (dot) com, and I will import them into SL and have them showing as a power point presentation by the hut. If you have a URL where you will be piping video, let me know what it is and I will stream it into SL so people from around the world can view it through the Second Life platform. I will try to stream from The Real News Network , and I will try to stream a flicker slide show of images of the event to SL too.
