Time, Place, etc. etc.

We had a small but productive meeting last week at our regular weekly meeting. We haven't planned out our actions for the 5th Anniversary of the U.S. invasion of and war upon Iraq as yet. But -- great ideas and energies were put forward.

Connections are what social movements are about - connecting with like minded people. Commonality and cooperation with individual responsibility for your overall life -- that is what I find most important about the energy of CODEPINK. The women, and men, I have met in Second Life are no less amazing than the women and men I have met in RL through CODEPINK. Women initiated and women led group dedicated to stopping war and getting us out of Iraq, now. We want to see CODE PINK declared rather than a code for fear such as Code Red, Code Orange, or Code Yellow.

Over the next few weeks some "physical location" or "address" changes will be in effect. Our first and foremost location in SL has been on Commonwealth Island at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Commonwealth%20Island/171/50/22. Lag has gotten to be problematic there as has the ability of the CODEPINK membership as a whole to use it as a base. We are addressing this problem along with a few others over the next few weeks.

For the time being we will be meeting on a platform over my land at Anhalt Hill that I refer to as Creative Pink Space. The SLURL is: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Anhalt%20Hill/98/65/496.

Tonight we will be getting down to brass tacks on how to observe the sad event of the the 5th anniversary of an ongoing war against Iraq by the U.S. And on a more joyous note, fill out our plans on how to observe International Women's Day here in SL.

See you there!

Real Life (RL from this point on) has a major learning curve to navigate to understand the Virtual World of Second Life (SL) -- SL is often described as a game, but it isn't, It is considered media by corporate entities like HBO who refused to allow the one time production and performance of a play to which they own the rights. All the things we know will be jumbled as this 21st Century progresses.

Our hope is that you will get to know the medium and be intrigued enough to help us build the world of activist networking and expression through this virtual world.
